What are you working on?

We hope it’s a feature, short, or TV spot that is set in a place that is impossible to shoot. Because creating impossible custom-built worlds is our specialty. We also focus on 3D and 2D animation projects with top producers and directors, like you. So drop us a line and let us know what you’re working on.

Virtual Backlots

Considering an exotic, historic, or impossible setting for your next project? Or perhaps a location that’s simply outside your budget? You’ve come to the right place. We specialize in creating worlds that can’t be shot. If you can imagine it, our team of virtual scenographers will provide concept and design right through to final production. Our specialized pipe and custom-built software allow for quick previews and tracking of progress throughout the project. Styles can range from 3D photo-realistic to 2D animation (and everything in between). Contact us about your next project and let’s explore the possibilities.

Animation

The best tool for computer animation is an open mind. That’s how Mad Crew approaches every new project. We listen, provide creative input, and collaborate with you to crystallize your unique vision, without imposing our own. You can see the result in our showreel: Instead of one “signature style,” our portfolio reflects the unique creative signatures of each producer and director we’ve worked with. Contact us on your next project to create a design draft that’s as unique as you are.

About

During the 1990‘s Stockholm was plagued by groups of teenaged graffiti artists known as crews. Each night they would express their artistry and angst with increasingly daring acts of public tagging. Among the most notorious of these crews was Mad Crew.

After a prolific career producing illicit street art, the crew was finally arrested on September 18, 1995. Vowing never to defile public property again, the lads laid down their spray cans and set out to find a more constructive channel for their creative passions. The result was Mad Crew Productions.

Since then the crew has grown, but the original Mad Crew are still together, directing their band of creative rebels. Little did they know when they started the company that their success would be the result of lessons learned on moonless nights dangling over frigid highway overpasses: Work fast, get it right the first time, and keep pushing boundaries.
